Canyon News

In 2005, Canyon was designated a Preserve America community by America’s First Lady, Laura Bush. There are approximately 300 communities in the United States that have received the designation.  The benefits of designation include opportunities of funding strictly for Preserve America communities.

In November 2005, the Canyon Main Street Program received notification for completing the Ten Criteria Survey for National Recognition award through the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
